Road Accident

Three People Were Killed In a Single-Car Accident On The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

On Saturday, the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State revealed that three people died in a single-car collision near Four Square Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Mr. Ahmed Umar, the FRSC's Ogun Sector Commander, informed the News Agency of Nigeria in the Ota region of the state that the accident occurred at 6.50 a.m.

Three males and a Mitsubishi Canter with the license plate LAR 116XN were involved in the crash, according to Umar.

He blamed the crash on excessive speeding, which led the vehicle to lose control and skid into the bush, killing all of the male passengers.

"The victims' bodies have been transferred at the FOS morgue in Ipara," he stated.

The incident was avoidable, according to the sector commander, who advised motorists to avoid excessive speed and unsafe driving, as well as to follow traffic rules and regulations.

Umar expressed his condolences to the victims' families and begged that God grant them the strength to face the loss.

He also advised them to contact the FRSC Command in Ogunmakin KM27 for details on the accident and to reclaim the property of the victims found at the spot.
