The federal republic of Nigeria didn't come in one day, some heroes played vital roles in the past. Their sacrifice is part of the foundation that made Nigeria the great nation it is today.
Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi
Taiwo is famous for his vital role in designing the flag of Nigeria, he's also met with ex-president Goodluck Jonathan back in 2014 who placed him on a life salary.
Taiwo is currently 84 years old and his house which is located in Ibadan is painted with the same color as the Nigerian flag.
Inside Taiwo's house
Photos that show state of Taiwo's house have got Nigerians reacting as they were shared by blogger, Tunde Ednut. Reacting to the photos, he wrote:
"This is the man that designed our Nigerian flag (Green White Green). Look at the state of his living, look at his house. Is this man not suppose to enjoy forever? This is Mr. Taiwo Akinwummi, it is well".
Photos shared on Instagram by Tunde Ednut show the state of his toilet, the rough road that leads to his house, and the washed-up paint in his house.
Nigerians reacting to the photos felt sad for Taiwo, a user who reacted asked for Taiwo's account details so he can send some money to him.
Another user @doc_concepts who reacted said he communicated with his son last year and it's a pity.

However, photos shared last year by Nigerian stories on Twitter show that Taiwo's house has been repainted. However, I'm yet to see an update on the interior looks of his house.
