According to Ondo State youth advocate, Yemi Fasipe; the Chief Protocol to the Governor, Mr Tosin Ogunbodede and one other yet to be identified aide lost their lives in the accident, while the third passenger of the vehicle is in critical condition.
It was gathered that the accident occurred around Ilesha-Akure expressway on Saturday night. The victims were rushed to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa where they were confirmed dead.
The late Ogunbodede is a lawyer and former staff member of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo. He was appointed as Chief of Protocol by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in 2017.
He was a great leader, grassroot mobilizer and a seasoned political strategist. His death is a big blow to the people of Ondo State and the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In a statement issued by Hon. Donald Ojogo, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State; the corpse of the late Chief of Protocol, Ogunbodede Tosin, Esq, will arrive his hometown, Owo, today.
