Reconstruction of Epe - Ikorodu road started around August, that is after the Covid-19 Lockdown in the state. The bad state of the road was alarming and due to the blockage of third mainland bridge, most commuters from Epe to Lagos are left with no choice than to go through this road.
Thankfully the Lagos state government embarked on the reconstruction of the road, and as at now (December 2020) a huge progress is been recorded.
A single lane road of about (10-20km) has been neatly finished right from Epe (T-Junction). Checkout pictures of the completed road below;
It was a smooth 10-20 minutes drive right from Epe. then workers were seen working tirelessly even during the holiday to ensure the work is completed as at when due.
Little repair was made on the remaining road that needs repairs, the pot holes were blocked and the road were smoothen. Repairs has been done on roads linking Itokin to Ikorodu, that before Agbowa - Imota area. However, repair is still needed right from Agbowa - Imota area till Ikorodu as the current state of the road is not so good, too many pot holes, and the drainage system is not so good as well.
We commend the good work of the government of Lagos state, we hope the little side that needs to be completed gets completed soon, as well as the remaining part of the road that needs total repair gets repaired soon.
