It's every parents prayer to reap the fruit of their labour. Parents go through a lot of sacrifices to make sure that they bring up their children the best wag they can. They show them love and care, and for those with capacity, they give their children education.
However it's a very sad moment for the family of Dorothy Yohanna who met her early death after she was kidnapped by some group of kidnappers few days ago.
During her burial, her mother made a statement which indeed got my attention. She stated the reason for her happiness. She said "My greatest joy is that I spoke with you when you were in the hands of your captors. I told you to hold on to your God, not knowing that we will not see or talk again in this life."
This is a very moment for a mother who has just lost her precious daughter to kidnappers. This is the best way she can console herself.
Dorothy lost her life after those kidnappers raided Greenfield University, Kaduna, kidnapping at least 3 Students of the University, in which late Miss Dorathy and 2 other boys were among. They demanded for a sum of N800 Million ransom.
But while the parents were running helter-skelter to get the huge amount of money, their bodies were found dead few days after.
One of the kidnapped students, Abubakar Sadiq Yusuf was also buried before her.
No parent wishes that their child dies before them. May God console the families and friends of Dorothy Yohanna.
