In a video that went viral on social media, a distraught woman narrates her ordeal at the hands of a tout who allegedly harassed her while stuck in traffic. The woman raised alarm after she encountered the tout in Apapa road, Lagos.
According to the video, the woman said that a tout came to her while stuck in traffic and requested money which she refused to give him. She said that she doesn't have any money on her. According to her, the alleged tout asked why she will be driving that type of car and won't have money.
She said that the tout removed her side mirror after she refused to give him the money. She warned motorists to desist from driving along the road. According to the video, her words read;
“Please as much as you can especially if you are a woman, avoid driving through Apapa Oworonshoki road. This morning, as I was driving and stuck in traffic, a tout approached me and said that I should give him money. He said that how will I be driving this type of car and won't have money. He then removed my mirror. The mirror was engraved and he couldn't sell it but just want to show that there is nothing I can do about it and truthfully, there is nothing I can do about it.”
“Many people were watching us including a policeman but didn't do anything about it.” (See Potos from the videos below)
