The incident was reportedly happened at Birnin Gwari, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where a suspected bandit killed a former councilor of the ward on his farm.
The killing operation was reportedly carried out concurrently as group of herders were also attacked.
According to Mr Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home affairs, " It was reported that suspected bandits attacked and killed a former councilor of Gayam ward while working on his farm land.
In the same vein, another group of unknown mob in large number had allegedly attacked group of herders with matchetes, and other weapons not identified.
The herders were reportedly relocating with their cattles from Fadan Kaje to Baking Kogi via the cattle pathway, where they were Attacked
Thanks to the troops who had helped provide security cover for the herders to recover their scattered cattle," he added.
