Everyone wants to be rich in life, we all want that luxurious lifestyle we see on TV, but most people don't want to make this money legitimately, they prefer to get rich overnight by sometimes indulging themselves in crimes like Human trafficking, arms dealing, armed robbery, kidnapping, money rituals and of course drug trafficking.
On Tuesday, 2nd March 2021, a court in the southern Tay Ninh Province in Vietnam, sentenced one Mr. Ekwegbalu James Nzube to death for trafficking nearly four kilograms of Methamphetamine from Cambodia.
The 45 year old Nigerian man said he was acquainted with another Nigerian in 2014 known as John, who hired him to transport drugs from Cambodia to Vietnam.
Reports had it that, he was paid $2000 for the trip he embarked on to deliver the drugs, but unfortunate for him, while he was illegally crossing the border to Vietnam, he was apprehended by border guards in Tay Ninh Province, and four plastic bags containing nearly four kilograms Methamphetamine was retrieved from him.
The lessons everyone should learn.
1. Be contented with what you have. Greed is the major factor that pushes people to commit crime or indulge in illegal businesses for more money, there are many rich people who still push drugs. Instead of finding a good business to invest money in it and make more profits, they prefer to risk their lives and happiness just to make more money overnight.
2. All that glitters is not gold. When you see people's lavish lifestyle on social media, don't rush and look for negative ways of making money just to be like them or compete with them, put determination and hard work and you would be surprised at how successful you would become.
3. Crime pays but there is always a dire consequences in the end. Many people are arrested and prosecuted for drug trafficking every year.
After reading this article, I guess you would not want to involve yourself in any illegal way of making money especially drug trafficking. I know that the country is hard now but it is better to be broke at home than be a millionaire in jail.
What do you think would happen his cars, house and other properties he had acquired through illegal means?
Your opinion is highly needed on this.
