A People's Democratic Party chieftain and former Aviation Minister, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode has today reacted to the reported death of a United States based businessman who was allegedly killed by some Fulani terrorists, despite collecting a sum of N14 million ransom, calling the perpetrators of the act wicked, callous and cold-blooded.
Prince Dennis Abuda:
According to news reports, Mr Abuda, was a realtor and an insurance broker based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA who had come to Nigeria to spend the Christmas holiday with his family. He was set to return back to the USA, before he was kidnapped by men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen in Benin City on his way to boarding a flight for Lagos enroute Atlanta. Ransom was demanded which was paid but the evil men of the underworld ended up killing the victim.
While reacting to the news on his verified Twitter handle, Mr Fani-Kayode had written: "A U.S-based businessman came home in December to spend Christmas with his family. He was abducted by Fulani terrorists in Edo state. They demanded 14 million naira as ransom. The money was paid yet they still killed the poor man. These beasts are wicked, callous & cold-blooded."

You would recall that the nefarious activities of certain criminal elements within the Fulani herdsmen had caused rancour in the country in recent times. The rising insecurity had been attributed to the herders, a development which prompted the Ondo State Government to order all Fulani herdsmen living in the forests within the state to vacate the forests.
Dear readers, what do you think the Government can do to curb the growing insecurity in the country? Are the Fulanis solely responsible for the kidnappings and killings?
