Banditry ravages Zamfara state: Gunmen kidnap 15 students leaving four security officials dead.

In the very hometown of the former Governor Sani Yerima of the Zamfara state, Bakura town. The reoccurring vice of abduction of students hits the northern region of Nigeria again. 

At about 10pm on Sunday 15th of August a group of unidentified Gunmen stormed Zamfara College of Agriculture killing 3 private security men and 1 police officer as confirmed by the deputy registrar of the college, Mallam Aliyu Bakura. 15 students where forcefully taken along with a one teacher, his wife and her two kids. 

The police department of the state as represented by Muhammed Shehu confirmed the abductions. 

The states commissioner of police, Ayuba Elkana was called for a meeting with the concerned bodies where he addressed the school management and relatives of the missing.

He assured them that all hands including military support are on deck to employ search and rescue strategies in order to bring back the abducted 

The case of abduction or kidnapping in Zamfara state is not a new leaf, as last month in the neighbouring town to Bakura, Talata mafara local government were victims of bandits. In girls government school Jangebe where students were kidnapped.
