Don’t give policemen your money – Ruggedman

Michael Ugochukwu, also known as Ruggedman, a veteran rapper, has advised Nigerians not to pay money to police officers on the street.

Ruggedman said this while bemoaning the mistreatment of unarmed Nigerians by police personnel.

The 45-year-old rapper pledged that he would never hand over a kobo to a policeman.

He encouraged Nigerians to keep their car paperwork up to date in order to avoid having to pay money to police officers.

"One kobo of my money would never touch the hand of any police officer because of how they have been abusing innocent Nigerians over the years," Ruggedman said on Instagram.

"Nigerians with vehicles, have your vehicle paperwork updated, and don't pay a kobo to any Nigerian policeman you see on the street."

This comes after Nigerians saw an Uber driver getting beaten up by police officers at the Lekki Toll Gate during the End SARS commemoration.

While fighting security personnel who attempted to put him into a waiting Black Maria, the victim was injured.
