Opinion: 3 Things We Observed From The Zamfara State Secondary School Girls Released Today

The ongoing spate of school assaults in the north-west portends a two-pronged assault on the city's educational system. 

Bandits motivated by money can vary politically from groups such as Boko Haram in the north-east, which oppose western education, but they are both wreaking havoc on northern Nigeria's education system.

Just Within 6 months different school abductions has occur from Dapchi, Kankara, kagara and most recently Jangebe school girl, resulting to over 1000 Students abducted within this short period of time, making Nigeria Security intelligence Teams looked weak in the eyes of international communities.

After their released this Morning around 4 am The Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle advised the girls to face their ordeal in "good faith" and promised that "the enemies" would be humiliated.

1. Somehow The Zamfara State Governor seen to know this abductors

Mr. Bello Matawalle, the Governor of Zamfara State, came under fire yesterday for pretending to know the abductors of 317 students from the Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Jangebe, in the Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the state. 

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural Forum, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), and the Kaduna State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) all challenged Matawalle to expose their identities. 


2. Ransom was paid since the military did not rescue the girls.
