Jos: The Dumping Of Corpses At The Govt House Is Barbaric; The Bereaved Should Be Assured Of Justice

The killing of over 30 people by unknown gunmen in Yelwa Zangam, Jos North local government area of Plateau State on 25 August 2021 has brewed uproar among residents of the state. Youths in Jos who were vexed by the incident, stormed the Government House, dumping corpses of those killed in the attack.

Though the attack on the community is heartbreaking, the action taken by Jos youths is uncalled-for and barbaric. Instead of dumping corpses at the Government House, there are other civilized ways of expressing their grievances.

It should be noted that 10 suspects linked to the attack have been apprehended by the Military. The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has promised to bring the perpetrators to book. The Military are also doing everything possible to apprehend more culprits and make Plateau State safe.

Recall that Plateau state and other northern states have been witnessing a series of attack from these evil men. Dumping of corpses at the Government House won't bring back the dead to life, but cause air pollution that might be detrimental to the health of residents.

The bereaved and the aggrieved parties are advised to bury their deceased loved ones and be rest assured that justice will be served in no time. The dead should be allowed to rest in peace.
