

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Abia State Governor, Theodore Orji, on Thursday.
Senator Orji was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, but the commission could not answer a question on his location. A source had informed a popular news agency, Daily Post that he is still being held at the EFCC headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.
Upon enquiry, Wilson Uwujaren who is the head of media for EFCC affirmed that the ex-governor was nabbed.
“I can confirm to you that he was picked up today at the airport”, he replied.
When asked if Senator Orji is still with the agency, Mr Wilson said he could not provide more details. “I’m not speaking more than that for now.”
Senator Orji currently represents of Abia Central District in the National Assembly. He is reportedly under interrogation alongside his son, Chinedu who is the speaker of Abia State House of Assembly.
