A lady who at first was said to be mentally unstable was apprehended by youths of the community before been handed over to the Kano State Police Command for interrogations and possible persecution.
The lady said to be 38 years of age was apprehended after she slaughtered her kids, whoes names were given as Yusuf Ibrahim, aged 3 and Zahra' u Ibrahim, aged 4 at their Diso quarters in Kano metropolis saying that she wanted to concentrate with her laptop and make money. The lady was paraded around the village before been handed over to the police.
Confirming the terrible incident, the Public Relations Officer of the command in Kano, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, told newsmen that the mother of the deceased kids was arrested at her hideout by residents of the community.
He said the incident was reported to the police headquarters and the Commissioner of Police immediately ordered by the police.
The sad incident took place on Saturday in Diso village, Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State, when a relative, one Sadia Haruna, shocked the neighborhood with the news.
Her relative drew attention of concerned neighbours that he saw when the woman killed her two little babies and buried them in the farm, immediately the heard the report the decended on the lady badly were she confessed and accepted the crime.
According to her she was into online business that did not need any disturbance so she decided to kill her children so she can concentrate.
