To say that the Nigerian Government of today has failed her citizens would be an understatement. A Government whose primary objective is to protect the lives of its citizen has now made it so conducive that even a neighbor with a grudge, ventures into kidnapping out of spite and damn the consequences, oh wait... what consequence? The criminals (a.k.a. bandits) that kidnapped over 41 people and killed one person during the process were not prosecuted, they were parleyed with, paid and there is even talks to absorb them into the Government.Graduating with good grades doesn't get you a good Job today in Nigeria, but venturing into crime, getting very good at it and making a very radical and bold move will get you one, that is the message the Nigerian Government of today wants us to know. It is not only sad but ridiculous to think that in this century and time, a select few still plays politics with the lives of those that "put" them in office, scratch that, the people didn't elect them, they got into power "criminally" so why wouldn't crime rate increase? Nigeria is now a nation with misplaced priorities thanks to our clueless leaders who think it's okay to reward criminals while hardworking, honest and peace loving people wallow in abject poverty, they feel it's okay for you to spend years in the school system only to graduate to be an unemployed Nigerian. There was a country called Nigeria.
