A human rights activist until his demise, Odumakin reportedly gave up the ghost at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), after a brief illness.
According to reports, the Afenifere spokesman died at the hospital's Covid-19 Isolation ward, after a brief illness. He was aged 56.

Suspected bandits kill Miyetti Allah leaders in Nasarawa.
Assailants suspected to be bandits have taken the lives of 2 chairmen of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) in Nasarawa State.
According to reports, both men, Alhaji Mohammed Hussain and his counterpart, Mohammed Umar, were slain in a Friday night attack carried out at Garaku Kokona Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesman for the Nasarawa State Police Command, ASP Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident, disclosing that the attack took place at about 7pm.
Bodies of both victims have been deposited at the Anthony Memorial Morgue in the state.

A group by the name of Biafra Nations League (BNL) has disclosed that it has ordered it's members to launch a reprisal attack on Fulani herdsmen as a result of the recent killings in Ebonyi State, where 15 people were brutally murdered.
In a news briefing in Ikom Cross Rover State, Deputy National Leader and Head of Operations BNL, Ebuta Akor Taking told newsmen that 'Enough is enough'.
According to him, the group has ordered it's members in other parts of the old eastern region to mobilize and begin carrying out reprisal attacks on all fulani herdsmen within the next 5 days.
The group stated that any attack from herdsmen henceforth will be avenged until their parent bodies, the Miyetti Allah Maitala Hore and the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) call their herders to order.
BNL questioned why soldiers would go after pro-Biafra groups but have done nothing to to stop the attacks on villages by Fulani militants.
