2023: We’re praying for Tinubu to return from UK, says Akeredolu

Mr Tinubu has just gone under the knife, according to the Ondo governor.

“We are praying that he ( Mr Tinubu) return home on time because I don’t know whether it is permitted to use the word on national television,” stated Mr Akeredolu, chairman of Southern Governors’ Forum, on ARISE TV. 

Explaining further the importance of Mr Tinubu to the southern region, the governor said, “He is the capo here in the South-West and South-South. So we are waiting for him to come back.”

He added, “By the time he comes, we will take very important decisions, and he will support us. He is our Capone, and we are ready to follow for us to take decisions together, and at the end of the day, whoever the party picks, we will rally round that person.”

Rivers APC spokesman, Ogbonna Nwuke resigns

The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, has resigned his position as the spokesman of the party.

Nwuke, in a letter personally signed and sent to the leadership of the party in the state, said his decision to quit the position was ” strictly personal”.

In the letter dated September 19, 2021, and made available to the press, Nwuke said his assignment as the party’s spokesman is done.

“We believe that our assignment here has been done. We came at a time of great internal strife when there was a strong need to effectively connect with the party’s many audiences.

21 persons in police trouble for killing 7 ‘witches’ in Adamawa

Aliyu Adamu, Commissioner of Police in the state, at a news conference on Monday in Yola, confirmed arrest of the suspects from Dasin Bwate, Fufore Local Government Area, of the state.

Adamu said that the arrest, and many other achievements, was as a result of the cordial working relationship between the command and other sister-agencies, hunters and vigilantes, and as well as the police’s zero tolerance for corruption.

Customs Intercepts N9m Fake Malaria Drug In Edo

The Federal Operations Unit, Zone C, of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has seized fake malaria drug, Artesunate injection zensunate, worth N9m along the Benin-Ore road.

In a press statement by the public relations officer, FOU Zone C, Jerry Attah, he said the contrabands intercepted between July and August in the zone are worth N120billion.

Attah, in the statement said the customs area controller, Compt. Yusuf Lawal, listed other contraband seized to include 130 bags of 50kg foreign parboiled rice valued at N5.4milion and 2,181 cartons of foreign cosmetic products without National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), registration numbers valued at N76million intercepted along the Okada/ Benin express way.
