Photos: Check Out More Photos From Obosi Police Station After Unknown Gunmen Killed 2 Officers Today

The security situation in Nigeria presently has continued to get everyone perturbed. As it seems, many Nigerians are beginning to demand that the security architecture in the country is revisited. They are suggesting that the federal government adopts state policing as opposed to federal policing.

Although the federal government is still contemplating on whether to allow state policing, the delay is, however, causing more havoc as some disgruntled elements in the society are beginning to take advantage of the existing lacuna.

A few hours ago, the Obosi police station in Anambra state was attacked, and some inmates were freed. The attack witnessed the killing of two gallant police officers who were on duty at the time of the attack.

Hours after the attack was carried out, the Anambra Police Command has made a smart move to avoid a reoccurrence. The Anambra Police Command has stationed more security men at the Obosi police station. They also brought in more patrol vehicles to help track all those behind the attack. The newly posted Commissioner of Police, CP Chris Owolabi has restored normalcy at the scene. They have also conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the incident. Nigerians are however waiting for the outcome soon.

This post has attracted a lot of attention so far as many Nigerians are beginning to react to it. The majority are of the view that issues of insecurity will come to an end soon. They are however urging the police officers to be strong and vigilant on this trying moment.
