Exclusive: "It's a victory For Christians" Prophet Israel 'Genesis' Says As He Gets N2 Million Bail

Notable prophet and the head Genesis Parish of the Celestial Church of Christ, Alagbado, Lagos, Israel Oladele Genesis, has said his granted bail ahead of Easter celebration is a victory that should be celebrated by all Christians.

The visibly elated Genesis who was convicted of fraud some months ago and sentenced to jail was granted a bail of N2 Million with two sureties few hours ago and will be celebrating the Easter season with his family, friends and his teeming congregation on Sunday April 4th 2021.

Speaking through his Media Aide Seun Awokoya, the man of God said; "I thank God. It's a victory For All Christians".

Isreal Ogundipe, was jailed for a year by an Ikeja High Court for unlawfully converting a woman’s property and stealing.

The Prophet, who has been on trial since 2011, was charged with seven counts of obtaining by stealing, inducing delivery of money by false pretences, unlawful conversion of property and forgery.

Delivering the judgement, Justice Olabisi Akinlade found the prophet not guilty of five counts of stealing, inducing delivery of money by false pretences, giving false information to a public officer forgery.

She, was however, found guilty of two-count of stealing and unlawful conversion of property not delivered and sentenced him to a year in prison on each count.

While in prison, authorities of the Nigerian correctional service in Kirikiri, Lagos, were alleged of sharing pictures of him in jail, giving full information of what he is wearing and eating. A situation many see as a conspiracy involved in this case.
