ENUGU ATTACK: The Dangerous Rise Of Hoodlums In The South East, The Enemies Of Peace

According to a report from Punch, unknown individuals set fire to a vehicle transporting vegetables, tomatoes, and other perishable foodstuffs in Enugu on Monday morning. The hoodlums who committed the act were thought to be enforcing IPOB's sit-at-home order.

The incident occurred at Edem Junction, Ibeagwa, Nike in Enugu East Local Government Area l. Even though there was no sit-in in Enugu State on Monday, residents believed that the perpetrators were enforcing the exercise, which had been successfully cancelled.

The vehicle was said to be on its way from the Opi/Enugu bypass's Ugwogo end when it was stopped and set on fire. Sympathisers were said to have called the State Fire Service, prompting the Ogui Road fire station to respond quickly to the scene.

The action of these hoodlums is pure evil and they should not be allowed to go scot-free. How on earth can one carry out such an attack on his fellow man. Imagine how much money the owner of this vehicle and foodstuffs lost because of the action of these hoodlums. There is no point in trying to force people to key into your ideology.

This isn't the first time hoodlums are carrying out attacks in the name of the "Ghost Monday" protest. They recently burnt down a lorry conveying motor spare parts in Anambra, attacked a secondary school to chase out students sitting for SSCE.
