“Those farmers found dead were assasinated and security operatives will unveil the evil mind soon” - Ooni of Ife

Early morning of Friday, five farmers were found dead along Toro village which some news link to bandits attacks and others to the Ife and Modakeke long dispute.

The Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi shedding light into the incident through his spokesperson, Moses Olafare made it known that the death of the five farmers by unknown assailants was not due to any dispute between Ife and Modakeke but an act of criminality. Attempt to link the murder to a prolonged communal dispute between the two communities is unfortunate and disserve to indigenes of the town.

" While some mischief makers tried to link the criminality to the long- resolved Ife/Modakeke dispute the palace of Ife wishes to state unequivocally that what happened at Toro village was sheer criminality and longhand of the law wil soon catch up with the perpetrators. Their attempts to add communal colouration to the crime to distract security operatives from unveiling the evil minds behind the devilish act is already known" - Moses Olafare disclosed
