According to reports, a herder has been killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Kwara State.
The incident took place in Ago Are axis in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state on Friday, October 1. Eyewitnesses disclosed that a large group of unknown gunmen had stormed the home of the victim, shot him severally at close range, and left him in a pool of blood.
It was also gathered that the incident is coming on the heels of the victim's brother's death, who was also murdered in the same manner barely a month ago.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara Statement Command, Babawale Afolabi said that the command got a report on Friday that a Fulani herdsman known simply as 'Ibrahim' was attacked and killed by a group of unknown persons.
According to him, a manhunt has been launched to arrest those behind the killing.
