Plateau: Suspected herdsmen kill four, injure one

Four individuals were killed in new attacks on Tuesday night at Twin Hill Road, Jebbu Miango, in Plateau State's Bassa Local Government Area.

The event happened around 7 p.m., according to the DAILY POST.

Mr Davidson Malison, National Publicity Secretary of Irigwe Development Association (IDA), confirmed the incident, saying: "The attackers came around 6:50 p.m., as three persons on a motorcycle were ambushed along Twin Hill Road, Jebbu Miango, Miango District, of Bassa LGA, where two of them were killed instantly and one sustained gunshot injuries on their way from Jebbu Miango to Miango community."

He claims that "Fulani terrorists ambushed them." The motorcycle was also destroyed by fire.

Additionally, on the same Tuesday evening, two people were killed on their farm at Nzhwerenvi, also in Jebbu Miango.”

He named individuals slain in the tragedy, including Bitrus Bulus, Yakubu Chohu, Friday Gani Kyeri, and Kyeri Gani, as well as Musa Wah, who was injured.

When DAILY POST called the State Police Command's spokesman, ASP Ubah Ogaba, he said, "Yes, we are aware of the situation in Bassa, and security operatives were immediately deployed there."

“We will notify you as soon as we acquire information regarding the incidents.”
