Shehu Sani Goes Bitter Over Insecurity Crisis, Lists 5 Groups Of Criminals Causing Havoc In Nigeria

A former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has decried the escalating insecurity situation in the country, and consequently listed five different groups of criminals terrorising the country.

Recall that in the past few weeks, the country has been embbed in diverse insecurity crisis which has caught across almost all strata of the society, from the rich to the poor, the politicians to the citizens.

Among many of those incident which happened within the space of one month, was that of the former Central Bank Governor and a Governorship aspirant, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, who was attacked by armed thugs at his home town in Isiofia in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, with three officers getting killed in the process.

Another was the killing of 11 soldiers who had gone to Benue state for peace keeping by armed militia.

Additionally, on Tuesday night, 20 Greenfield University students were abducted by armed bandits which has continued to terrorise the northern states.

Besides, the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists also carried out an attack on the acting IGP's home town, Geidam, in Yobe state on Friday.

Also, just when the Imo government was beginning to recover from the series of attack on it facilities by unknown gunmen, again on Saturday, hoodlums launched attack on the state Governor country home.

To this end, in his reaction, an embittered Sani who was seemingly not happy about the deteriorating insecurity situation in the country, listed five major groups that has been causing unrest in the country of recent.

The outspoken politician highlighted, Bandits, Hoodlums, Terrorists, Militia and Armed thugs as criminal groups disturbing the peace of the country.

In his words, he said:

"Greenfield University was attacked by BANDITS.Governor Hope country home was razed by HOODLUMS.The IG’s Village was attacked by TERRORISTS.Soldiers in Benue were killed by MILITIA.Soludo was attacked by ARMED THUGS."

Consequently, diverse reactions have continued to trail the worrisome state of insecurity situation in the country, as many urged the Buhari-led administration to move from warning bandits to crushing them, in order not to throw the country into further turmoil.
