Transformation of a homeless amputee 'pure water' girl vendor: Mary Daniel.

The social media was awashed with the tragic story of Mary Daniel, a 26 year homeless amputee who hawks pure water in streets of Oshodi in Lagos state.

Mary narratted she was only 10 when she lost her parent. She lost her right leg in December, 2006 when the family were on a journey to their hometown, Ayingba in Kogi state.

Eventually, God has done miraculously things in her life within the space of one week.

The Lagos state government has taken over the welfare of Mary and and her child. This in resonance with the Lagos state government's commitments in the protection of physically challenged women from abuse and risk they might likely be exposed.

Speaking on the intervention, the special adviser to the state government on Civic Engagements, Princess Aderemi Adebowale stated that Mary Daniel who is an indigene of Ayingba, Kogi state got into Lagos three weeks ago, hawks table water in traffic in Oshodi to earn a living, and that Mary is now in temporary protective custody pending further plans to get her an apartment and also empower her.

Also the former Imo star governorship candidates Uche Nwosu has donated the sum of N500,000 to her.
