There was pandemonium in Onitsha yesterday as an 80-year-old woman, Mrs Chidi Felicia Nwafor, was arrested by the State Police Command for alleged “kidnapping”.

Apparently, most residents of Onitsha were left in shock as this old woman who is the mother of a popular pastor at Awka Road Onitsha, was apprehended by officers of the Nigerian police force attached to 3-3 Station, Nkwelle Ezunaka.

Mrs Nwafor and one Rejoice Raymond, 39, were arrested for allegedly luring and kidnapping children for “rituals purposes”.

During the raid on her apartment at Akunwanta Mbamalu Street, Federal Housing Estates 3-3 Area, several little children were found unconscious, and the discovery shocked many onlookers as they screamed in astonishment. 

From the viral video of her arrest, no fewer than 7 people were also from her home; including her domestic staff and women who visited her.

Also recovered from her home are; fetish substances, blood-stained canes, local concoctions and other incriminating items.

However, the victims have been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

This revelation should send a strong message to her parents on how they watch over their little children who are easy prey for ritualists.
