Check Out Photos Of The Abandoned Monorail Project In Rivers State

Nigeria is undoubtedly a blessed country with a population of over 200 million, and despite our political, cultural, ethnic and racial differences, we can work together to unite Nigeria.

We are blessed with people and leaders who can make our dreams come true and in time we will achieve them.

As we all know, infrastructure development is the key to a better future and a better nation. In Nigeria today there are very neglected projects which, once completed, can strengthen the image of the nation nationally and internationally.

Among the few neglected projects in the country, the Port Harcourt Ultra Model Monorail can put the State ahead of the rest of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

The River State Monorail is a transportation system built in part for the city rail in the city of Port Harcourt. The project was announced in 2011 and construction began in mid-2012. The track was supposed to be a six-phase track, but after the partial completion of two tracks, the project hit rock bottom in 2017.

This project is presupposed to promote River State to other States in Nigeria for the following reasons.

(1) The monorail is one of its kind in Nigeria.

(2) Speed: The train has a maximum speed of 70 km / h, which is more than 43 km / h. We all know how important it is to transport goods and services faster, which not only reduces traffic congestion but also stimulates the country's economy.

(3) The construction of the train can carry 2,700 passengers per hour.

I believe that the Rivers monorail will start operating one day.

Thank you for your time.
