Four Tips On How To Spot A Fake Online Profile.

Online dating apps or websites can be a great place to meet new people from all over the world to form new alliances, connections, and so on. But it is also a place where you get to meet people who are pretending to be someone else. In this article, we will be sharing tips on how to spot these fake online dating profiles of impersonators so that you do not get soaked into a conversation with someone who doesn't exist or who has ulterior motives.

Number one, lack of information. An online dating profile that has only one or two pictures, thereby giving us a bare minimum of information about the profile, is a sign that the person is pretending to be someone they aren't. They tend to purposely keep information to a minimum because their profiles are fabricated.

Number two, they send you a link. Most of these fake online dating profiles created by impersonators can sometimes send or share a link that you are not familiar with. Instead, they try to convince you that the link was sent so that you can both have better communication and connection, but instead, the real function of those links is that they are used in phishing scams or to distribute malicious software onto your device.

Number three, they can't be video chat. Another easy way to spot a fake online dating profile impersonator is that they always don't have time to video chat. Video chats are a safe alternative to meeting and having a deeper connection with someone to get to know them better. So, if this person consistently refuses to video chat despite having chatted or talked with you for a long time, it means they have something to hide.

Number four, they are always in financial trouble. This is another way of knowing a fake online dating profile impersonator. After talking or chatting with you for some time. They start showing their deceitful ways by always claiming to be in a financial problem or situation. It is either they are looking for ways to pay their house rent or one of their family members is in dire need of help.
