Veteran Nollywood actor, Charles Inojie has reacted to the video of the brutal flogging of some Islamic students in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, describing it as 'pure barbarism' in the name of discipline.
Recall that video footage showing the moment some male and female students of an Islamic school in Ilorin were mercilessly beaten for attending a friend's birthday party surfaced online a few hours ago.

The footage, which has gone viral, showed a female and three males being brutally flogged with multiple canes by some senior students of the school on the order of their teacher. After the beating, the students showed the severe injuries sustained from the flogging.

It was gathered that the students were beaten after their teacher saw pictures of the birthday party they attended, which were posted online. The Cleric thought the students drank alcohol at the party, but they had only taken yogurt.

Reacting to the video of the students being beaten, Charles Inojie slammed the Muslim cleric for ordering that the students be disciplined in such a brutal manner. According to a post on his Instagram page, Inojie described the cleric's actions as a 'brazen display of barbarism'. He urged the Kwara State Governor to ensure that the culprits behind the assault be brought to justice.
