After spending 21 years in prison, a middle-aged man, Gambo Mohammed, has narrated his experience.
Mohammed said he rededicated his years in prison to Allah.
The recently released inmate from Katsina correctional center, said he finished his secondary school and couldn't further his education so started a fish business at Sabon gari market, Kano state.
He was imprisoned as a result of a misunderstanding youths had in a wedding ceremony he attended in his neighbour's house. He saw himself in prison after the incident.
According to him, someone was killed at the spot and he was badly injured but the police wouldn't consider how injured he was, instead they locked him up. After a while he was taken to court and was imprisoned.
The man, however, said life in prison is not what one should wish one's enemies but he was better in prison than after he regained his freedom. At least in prison wouldn't have to bother about his feeding.
