Human Organs Trafficker Arrested By EFCC In Port Harcourt

In Port Harcourt Zonal Office, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested the gang leader of a group involved in selling and buying of human organs to foreigners. 

The leader known as Ukaeje John Emeka, (also known as Dr Wesley David), was arrested at Rumukparali, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on April 16, 2021. 

According to information on the Commissioner’s website, investigations made by EFCC showed that the suspects is leading a group of criminals disguised as medical doctors, with a human organ bank, selling and buying kidneys. 

Ukaeja John Emeka was arrested by operatives of EFCC based on his suspicious deceiving internet dealings . 

Victims of his organ trafficking include patients with renal disease, and even healthy individual’s willing to sell their body organs in Nigeria, Indonesia, India, United Arab Emirate and Pakistan. 

Items recovered from Ukaeja John Emeka include, nine ATM cards, one Nigerian passport, one black colored HP laptop, one Republic of Cote D’Ivoire passport, one gold colored Tecno L9 plus phone, one ash colored Lexus ES 330 salon car and one gold colored Samsung Galaxy J8. 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) added that it is on the trail of other members of the syndicate within and outside Nigeria.
