Clark blesses Delta LP candidate, Pella

Ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, elder statesman and leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Edwin Clark, has given his blessing to Ken Pella, the candidate of Labour Party (LP) in Delta State.

This happened just as Pela said the chance of LP winning Delta State on Saturday is very bright, adding that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) acted with impunity by not transmitting presidential election results as it is mandated to do.

Clark, who gave his blessing to Pela, when the governorship candidate paid him a courtesy call in Abuja, said: “You will have my blessings and my sons are in the field, whoever follow the process and wins is my governor.

“My hope, whoever becomes the governor of Delta State, my home state, should be a straightforward person, competent, respected and good character, not person that will embezzle our money at the expense of the state. Nothing can prevent me from giving my blessing, so, God will therefore guide you.”

“We urge Lagosians to ignore the threats from the hoodlums and louts on our streets and come out on Saturday to vote out Sanwo-Olu and the APC.”

Buhari Is Nigeria’s Worst President – Rufai Hanga

Rufai Hanga, Senator-Elect, Kano Central, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as the worst president Nigeria has ever had.

He said Buhari is an abject failure, who is incapable. Hanga stated this during an interview on Trust TV’s Daily Politics.

He said, “Buhari was posing himself as a Messiah and unfortunately, but that was untrue. The Trustworthy (Mai Gaskiya) is the best nickname he would like to have, but he is not. Look at what he did, he surrounds himself with people that have fat files with EFCC and those that he used to abuse before.

“Before I believed in Buhari but now I have seen the right thing. I now know better. He is a Total Failure. He will sleep confidently in Daura because he doesn’t know what is happening. He has no capacity. Buhari has no capacity.

“If somebody would perform the way he did, if somebody would take the country to where it is now and continue to advocate that he is the best President Nigeria has ever had… That is what he has been saying himself that he performed more than all the former leaders.

“To me, he is a decimal failure compared to the rest.”

Rejection of old naira notes serious crime – Kwara Gov AbdulRazaq

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has warned Nigerians that rejection of the old naira notes constitutes a criminal offence.

AbdulRazaq also advised residents of Kwara State, particularly traders, to accept and spend both the new and old naira notes as both are still legal tenders in Nigeria.

He stated this in a statement issued in Ilorin on Tuesday by his spokesman, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye.

The statement reads in part: “Banks are now officially issuing the old naira notes (including N500 and N1,000).

“This appeal especially goes to our marketers/traders. Further rejection of the old Naira notes is in breach of the Supreme Court judgment.

“Citizens are to note that rejection of the legal tender, such as the old naira note, is a serious crime under our law.”
