A Catholic priest, Rev.Fr Fabian Ngunan of Aye Twar parish, Agu Centre near Sai, Katsina-Ala LGA has been killed by unknown gunmen who attacked the area today.
The priest who was murdered in Cold blood is just one among the victims of banditry in the area.
This week alone ,gun men suspected to be loyal to the slain terror king Gana ,killed over 30 people at Tor Donga market ,18 people at Abaji market. The security situation of the area has deteriorated , forcing Governor Ortom and the Benue security council to take stringent measures .
Just recently ,the elder brother to the senator representing Benue Northeast was murdered in his hometown of Anyiin ,Logo local government area, similarly ,a renowned university Don , Prof. Udoo Angough was also murdered by the assailants in his home town around Harga with his wife .
The Government of Benue state has placed a ban on the use of motorcycles in the three local governments under Siege by the Bandits .
