2 Reasons Why Residents Of Anambra State Should Not Observe The one Week Sit-at-home

It is no longer news that the secessionist group has said its members and residents of the South-East region will embark on another sit-at-home for six days except the Nigerian government unconditionally releases its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, before November 4. The outlawed group stated that the sit-at-home exercise will commence from November 5 till 10. There are two reasons why residents of Anambra should not observe the one-week sit-at-home

1. For southern residents who depend on business activities for a living, the one-week sit-at-home may be inconvenient for them. As a result, many southeast residents who rely on daily business may go hungry for the entire week if they observe the one-week sit-at-home.

2. Most importantly, hoodlums may use the chance to engage in deadly activities that result in the loss of lives and property. Recall how for several days, unknown gunmen have been terrorizing the Southeast region. Because of how this lethal gang is spreading havoc, the Nigerian Army has launched a fresh operation in the Southeast region to tackle insecurity.

We all are aware that the one-week sit-at-home is to disrupt the 2021 gubernatorial election in Anambra state to ensure its leader is released. Residents of the southeast region should not observe the sit-at-home, instead, they should come out in large numbers to vote for their preferred candidate, who would run the state for another four years.
