Policeman, Attempting To Shoot Former Delta Commissioner, Kills His Official
Nani, who is the Chief Executive, Accounting and Finance of the Development Commission for the Delta State Oil Production Regions, escaped death by orderly attempting to meddle in a matter between him and the police officer allegedly linked to the Sapele-based Seplat Oil and gas Development Company Plc.
PUNCH Metro compiled that a Toyota Hilux police car conveying Seplat employees hit Nani’s vehicle at Ajogodo around 7pm.

While the ex-commissioner pulled up to confirm the amount of destruction done to his car, he was allegedly attacked by the mobile police officer.
Our reporter managed to gather that the dead officer, who attempted to help, was shot in the lower leg.
“The mobile police officer wanted to shoot Nani, but his official threw himself and ended up taking the bullet.
“He was taken to a hospital, but he couldn’t continue to live it,” he added.
The source then said that the mobile police officer had been detained.
Attempts to reach the state Chief Law Enforcement Officer, SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, did fail as she did not take her phone call.
