Road situation in Ogun state.

Every state in Nigeria has a problem it facing. These problems range from insecurity ,bad road, unstable power supply etc. But one challenge that most Nigerians face in their everyday is bad road.

The issues of bad roads is no longer a new thing among most people in Nigeria . Few minutes journey now take hours. One place that has been characterized by bad road is Sango Ota in Ogun state. People living along Lagos Abeokuta expressway wake up every morning to behold sight of fallen vehicles on the road. The condition of roads in this area is nothing to write home about.

Little rainfall brings about flooding of the already damaged roads. Lack of drainage system along the road has done little to help matters. The few available ones have been covered by refuse.

Cost of transportation on these roads is so high that the people prefer to trek long distances . Getting means of transportation has been so herculean due to few motorists plying the road. The motorists are not to blame though as putting one's vehicle on the road has become a risk which one must consider very well before venturing into it.

Market men and women who sell by the roadside have been displaced from their place of marketing because of the unfavorable condition which comes with selling by the roadside especially with the present condition of the road.

The citizens call on the Dapo led government to help them find a lasting solution to the road. It is really a saddening sight to see the pains these people encounter on the road in their search for a living. The government should help look into the sufferings of these people. Being by the roadside in wait for commercial means of transportation by the people for hours and yet ending up to find high charging or no means at all puts the people into unspeakable pains. It is high time the government of the state harken to the cries of its people.
