Two brothers that both hail from Orlu, Imo state are on the run after beating up and injuring the village head of Amaukwu in Eziukwu Aba, Abia state.

The elder brother nicknamed Onyenawaya was having a serious issue with the village head's son in-law that led into a fist brawl and serious injuries as Onyenawaya and his junior brother broke bottles and stabbed both the village head and his son in-law. Both have been rushed to a nearby pharmacy for treatments.

According to Chidi a witness who also lives in the house said it has been long, Onyenawaya and his junior brother have been telling the village head's son in-law to pay his six months house rent that he owes them. The two brothers he said, had to engage in that fight with him because he was rude to them as he threatened to beat them up if they ever disturb him about that house rent as he will pay them once he has the money.

He said that the village head arrived at the scene after receiving a call from his daughter about the fight. On his arrival, he went straight to the fighting scene which everyone including myself was unsure of my safety if I go near them. The village head was unlucky as Onyenawaya's junior brother struck him with a bottle and stabbed the son in law at the chest. He said that both brothers fled immediately abandoning Onyenawaya's wife who is pregnant as they saw that both the village head and his son in-law are on the ground. It was after they had fled, that I was able to come close and with the help of others take the village head and his son in-law to a nearby pharmacy for treatments.

The angry youths of that area after searching around and could not find Onyenawaya and his junior brother, went to their house and are currently destroying the house because it was owned by Onyenawaya's father who was late. The angry youths were saying that the two brothers are on suspension of leave township(that is they will be seriously dealt with if seen anywhere around town) for now until further notice.
