The Arrest Of A Man With 260 Bullets Shows That Nigeria's Security Agents Are Smarter Than You Think

A man on his way to the Plateau was apprehended with 260 bullets, magazines, and other items. In Nasarawa State, an arms smuggler was apprehended. Likita, the man, was apprehended with 52 magazines and over 200 live rounds of ammunition.

He was apprehended by a joint team of the Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) at Alushi junction in Akwanga. According to Likita, his colleagues are on their way to Jos on motorcycles.

The suspect is currently being held at the Akwanga Police Divisional Headquarters. A statement will be issued by the State Command. A bus convoy was attacked last Saturday on Rukuba Road in Jos North Local Government Area.

More than a dozen people were killed, and dozens more were injured. The victims were on their way from Bauchi to Akure, the capital of Ondo. Fearing retaliation, the police have sent additional resources to Plateau to restore law and order.

Like the saying goes, give credit to whom credit is due, we just can't read this without appreciating the Nigerian police and the Federal Road Safety Corps. You never can tell what would have happened if this young man had successfully delivered these arms and ammunition to his gang.
