59 years old Christopher Orji, an Assistant Director of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), has reportedly committed suicide in Abuja, when his body was found dangling with a rope tied to the ceiling fan at his residence in Federal Housing Authority Estate, Lugbe, Abuja.

According to a report from Daily Post, who reported that Mr Orji had been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to report on his office on the day he was found dead, which has brought to question the circumstances surrounding his death. The big question is what could make a man commit suicide just because he was called for questioning by the EFCC operatives. Some said he was afraid of going to prison due to his corrupt act in office, while some people doubted that he had single handedly hanged himself.

The death of Mr Orji has became the tremendous topic of the day, as many people throws in their question about what may likely be behind the death of Orji. Until his death, Orji was the NABDA's Bioresearch Center Coordinator in Langtang, Plateau State.
However, one of the staff of the agency, who pleaded anonymity has disclosed that Mr Orji could not have killed himself as no suicide note was found at his residence.

When contacted the NABDA's Acting Head of Communications and Protocol, Nkiru Amakeze, he declined to comment, stating that: "So, what do you want me to tell you now? Please, I can't speak on it."
