Benue state have recorded another deadly mass murder of innocent people. Not less than 20 people has been murdered by some suspected killer herdsmen in Benue state. The latest murder of 20 persons took place in Agatu, Benue state. The armed killer herdsmen attacked the community with guns and sharp objects and started killing people.
The recent killing was confirmed by the Benue state police spokesperson, Catherine Anene. According to Catherine, an attack took place in Benue state and some number of people died during the attack. However, Catherine said that the number of casualties have not been confirmed yet. Catherine said that the Benue state Commissioner of Police has sent police officers to the affected area to help bring back sanity.
The latest attack comes few days after at least 30 individuals were killed by some suspected killer herdsmen. It was also reported that some students of the Benue state College of Education in Katsina Ala Local Government Area of Benue state were among the 30 individuals who were killed. The true reason for the latest murder of 20 persons in Benue state remains unknown. The Benue state police command have disclosed that although people were killed, the true figure hasn't been confirmed yet.
