Who Could Be The Next Target Of IPOB As They Recently Razed Down Joe Igbokwe's Residence In Nnewi

The ugly circumstances many Southeasterners feared when IPOB took up arms, are presently staring at the Southeasterners. Over the past few weeks, there have been so much concern and displeasure over the growing boldness of the members of the Indegenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), especially during their enforcement of the stay-at-home order. So much fear has been heightened in the Southeastern region after so many people have been maimed by the dreaded unknown gunmen. Recently, the husband of former director of NAFDAC, Prof. Dora Akunyili, was murdered in his hometown by unknown gunmen and a good number of well meaning Igbos have suffered similar fate in recent times.

Notwithstanding, the recent attack on the residence of APC spokesperson, Joe Igbokwe, in Anambra state, has confirmed the deadly plans of the proscribed group. According to Joe Igbokwe, his residence in his hometown was recently razed down by the operatives of the proscribed group, IPOB. Speaking further on the attack, Igbokwe noted that a CCTV camera captured the outlaws when they offloaded their containers of petrol from a minibus. Gratefully, Joe Igbokwe noted that no casualties were recorded as at the time of his media report.

More so, in another recent attack within the same Nnewi, a police station was razed alongside a field office of the State Security Service (SSS). The number of casualties recorded in the attacks have not been ascertained as at the time of this report but many have been feared dead.

Going forward, the Indegenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) have tried in recent times to distance themselves from cases of civil unrest within the region but intelligent reports have always identified them as prime suspects in such attacks. Prior to the attack on Joe Igbokwe's residence, the APC spokesperson has received so many death threats from the operatives of the Indegenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), according to his media reports.

Obviously, the suspected actions of the Indegenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) is gradually turning into terrorism. It is even more gruesome that law abiding citizens alongside security personnels have been identified as prime targets by the members of IPOB. The recent activities of the IPOB are gradually missing the hallmarks of agitation. Many Southeasterners have shown their displeasure over the unfolding circumstances and many are even more worried over who could be their next target.
