The executive governor of Rivers State, Chief barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, as at yesterday the 2nd day of September 2021, carried out an inspection of the ongoing construction projects in Rivers State.
As usual, the governor was accompanied by some individuals including those from the ministry and the contractors. After the inspections yesterday, governor Wike took to his official media page to publicize his activity carried out yesterday at the construction sites.
According to the Rivers State governor, "Yesterday we inspected the ongoing construction at the Dr. Peter Odili Cancer and Cardiovascular Diseases Diagnostic and Treatment Centre; the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, the Renal Department and Pathology Department buildings of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital."
The Rivers State governor stated that the huge investment made by his administration in making sure that tertiary health infrastructure is aimed at making the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital the best in the country.
The infrastructure will not only be the best in the country, but would alao strengthen Rivers State public health institutions to provide top level health care to majority of Nigerians who cannot afford medical treatment overseas.
Further more, the governor stated that his administration have made upfront payments to our contractors handling the projects and expect all these projects to be set for use by May 2022.
