A few days ago a video of policemen rescuing some children and arresting two women who held the children captive at house number 13 Akunwanta Mbamalu street Federal Housing Estate Awka, Anambra State went viral
Linda Ikeji Blog and several other sources described the women as suspected ritualists who allegedly pound children for sacrifice.
In the video, the children were brought out from a room full of fetish materials and they were in a bad state of health looking bruised so arrangements were made to send them to a hospital for treatment. The police also retrieved some of the fetish tools allegedly used by the women to perpetuate their atrocities
The women were arrested and taken to the station for more investigations. The Anambra Police later confirmed the operation and revealed that they acted on good intel
In recent photos shared, the children could be seen smiling as Mrs. Ndidi Mezue the Commissioner of Women and Children affairs visited them with a lot of gifts
The children except for the girl among them looked very much lively than when they were found 5 days ago
The police were able to save these children following an intel, we should be vigilant and report every crooked activity of our neighbor to the police. It is the duty of everyone to ensure security.
