TRAGEDY struck, yesterday, as a popular and loved politician, Hon Haruna Maitala and his son, Ja'afar died in a car accident. Until his tragic death, Hon Haruna Maitala was a Member, Representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency of Plateau State.
The ghastly accident happened at the Gitata road on Friday around 2pm on his way to Jos from Abuja. According to reports, the politician was on his way to Jos for his son’s wedding on Saturday.The fatal accident also claimed the life of his driver and security aid.

Until his tragic death, Hon Haruna Maitala was a father and a leader with excellence. He wisdom and vision for Nigeria made him a adored by many.
