Man Narrates His Encounter With The Police On His Way To The Airport, Says His Wife Is A Witness

It's so sad to hear a news about police brutality in a country that has tough so well to battle this vices. Sometime last year, Nigerians initiated a movement tagged EndSARS to put an end to police brutality across the country.

The recent situation of things in the country shows the harassment of citizens by the police has drastically reduced. However, the narration of a young man on social media has proven to us that police are still harassing innocent citizens out there.

The young man gave his narration because he felt the need to let Nigerians know that police are still into their normal routine and they've not stopped harassing youths. Speaking about his ordeal when he was going to the airport, the man said: "Earlier today officers of @PoliceNG robbed me of 100k in the presence of my wife. My only crime was having my official laptop with me. They couldn't pin any crime on me so they insisted I follow them to station or pay 500k. I was running late for my flight so I had to be diplomatic with them. We had a lot of back and forth but I had to finally settle for #100k. I know nothing will be done, but I'm just putting this story out there so people would know our fight is still far from over".

It indeed not an encouraging news especially when you consider the number of people that lost their lives during the EndSARS Protest. I guess the government needs to call the police to order and make things right.
