FG Declares Tuesday Public Holiday For Eid-ul-Mawlid

 Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who made this declaration on behave of the Federal Government, congratulated all Muslim faithful as they celebrate the marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.


He urged all Nigerians to adopt the spirit of love, patience, and persistence, which are the characteristics of the Holy Prophet, saying that doing so would ensure the country's peace and stability.

Aregbesola urged Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to avoid violence, lawlessness, and other illegal activities.

While calling for an end to all divisive tendencies across the country, the Minister urged all Nigerians, particularly the youth, to embrace the values of hard labor and a peaceful disposition toward one's fellow human beings, regardless of faith, philosophy, socioeconomic class, or ethnicity.

He stated that Nigerians should work with President Muhammadu Buhari's administration to create a modern and beautiful nation that all people can be proud.
