In a video already trending on Twitter, the passengers of a bus stood up for their driver and dealt appropriately with 2 LASTMA Officials That wanted to extort him in Lagos State.
From reports, the LASTMA Officers stopped the bus around Ketu/Ojota axis and request that the driver pay them a sum of N100 before they can allow him to go. This made the passengers furious as they believed the driver didn't do any wrong, so they all stood for him and made sure he wasn't harassed.
At first the officers were seen exercising force and insisted that the Man must pay but the passengers got angry and tried to push them out of the bus. In the process, things got a little physical and one of the Officers got his uniform button loose.
Twitter users that saw the videos have therefore showered praises on the passengers for supporting the driver and ensuring he doesn't get harassed. It is very wrong for traffic officials to request money from road users, it is called extortion and very bad.
