The mother of the slain Ekiti police woman has told BBC Yoruba that her daughter joined the police force because of scarcity of job. She revealed this when BBC Yoruba recently paid a condolence visit to her in her residence.
Bukola Olawoye was a police sergeant before she was killed during the bye elections that took place in Ekiti East Constituency one few weeks ago.
When BBC Yoruba was interviewing the woman on the death of her daughter, she explained that she was devastated about the death of her daughter. She also said that she saw some vision about Bukola's death not quite long after she was shot.
The mother of the slain police woman begged the government to ensure it apprehend all the killers of Bukola Olawoye, a 33 year old lady. It was learnt that the woman was survived by two children. It is indeed a sad incident for the family of the slain police woman.
