25-Year-Old Nigerian Fraudster Arrested In India For Duping A Woman Of N16m

A 25-year-old Nigerian public has been arrested in india for purportedly tricking a 62-year-elderly person from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, of Rs 31.64 lakh (N16,048,923.81) 

Wisdom Obinna, from Imo State, was among a group that got to know ladies via online media and afterward tricked them with lottery and fake gifts, said Indore Cyber Cell Superintendent of Police, Jitendra Singh. 

"Obinna was arrested from Delhi, where he was living even after his business visa terminated. Endeavors are on to grab different individuals from the posse," he added. 

During the cross examination, the accused said that he came to India on Business Visa in 2014 and 2017. After the visa lapsed, he got dynamic in cheating and used to work from Delhi. 

The gangsters get to know Indian young ladies and ladies on Facebook by making accounts with various unfamiliar phony IDs. 

After Wisdom has befriended the ladies, he tricked his casualties by asserting he sent them some costly gifts. 

Afterward, different individuals from the group act like custom officials and request cash for the sake of Tax and Penalty to get the bundle, communicate something specific through financial balance WhatsApp and get the cash move. They would likewise compromise the casualty with legitimate activity. 

Police recuperated eight passbooks of different banks, three ATM cards, two PCs, three pen drives, 9 cell phones, eight SIM cards, two dongles, identifications and Rs 11000 in real money from the denounced.
